DANIEL S. WARD

Daniel Ward has a varied and interesting practice – from “bet the company” litigation to negotiating the sale of a client’s business, Mr.Ward always brings a critical eye focused on achieving the best possible result for his clients in the most cost efficient manner possible. He prides himself on his dogged determination to succeed and his ability to finesse excellent results for his clients.

Mr. Ward represents individuals, small businesses and corporations in a wide variety of business disputes, including disputes involving business torts, theft of trade secrets, unfair competition, franchisor/franchisee disputes, breach of contract actions, and intellectual property disputes.

Mr. Ward also represents employees and employers in a variety of matters, including the litigation of age, race, gender and pregnancy discrimination matters; the negotiation and drafting of employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and severance agreements; the enforcement and litigation of non-compete agreements; and advising employers on best employment practices.

Mr. Ward represents businesses, inventors, and other technology innovators in various intellectual property disputes and licensing matters. Daniel has obtained in millions of dollars in licensing revenue for his clients.

Mr. Ward is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, receiving his Juris Doctor in February 2000. During his time as a law student at Georgetown, Daniel worked for the Government Reform and Oversight Committee on Capitol Hill and at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Daniel also represented a number of indigent clients as a student attorney in the Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic. Daniel also has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University.

Mr. Ward is licensed to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Districts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Daniel is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
